Brevard Veterans

Council, Inc.

           It is the intent of the council to provide a forum for the discussion of affairs of primary concern to the Veterans of Brevard County; to initiate positive action toward resolution of those problems directly related Veterans and to provide a cohesive agency to further promote unified action by all Veterans within Brevard County.  The Council is made up of more than 70 Veterans organizations and 700 individual members.  It meets on the second Wednesday every month, at 9 a.m., at the Veterans Memorial Center in Merritt Island, Florida.  Individual or veterans organizations may join the council for an annual fee or for life membership.  Call 321-453-1776 for details.

Brevard Veterans Council Goals: 

  • To honor all persons who honorably served in the U. S. military service in War or Peace.

  • To educate all, especially our children, about details of United States military history.

  • To serve the veteran and his or her dependents; and

  • To remind everyone that freedom is not free and that we must always stay strong, unified and vigilant.

 Brevard Veterans Council Objectives: 

  • To support the preservation of Veterans benefits through local, State and Federal legislation and to provide assistance to veterans in need.

  • To champion better health care for Veterans in Brevard County.

  • To support the Veterans Cemetery in Titusville which was established to provide an honorable resting-place for those veterans who die without relatives or means.

  • To further develop and improve our Veterans Memorial Center & Park facilities.
